Early voting for the Nov. 3 General Election started today, and if you plan to cast your ballot at the Hill Country Youth Event Center, you'll be sharing the grounds with gourds, 4-H cooks and a whole lot of wool.
The event center has three major events booked over the next two weeks, and every one of them overlaps with early voting. Kerr County has issued a special traffic and parking plan to keep voters and event crowds out of each other's way. County officials say they expect high traffic volume at the facility through the end of early voting on Friday, Oct. 30.
How to get in, vote and get out
- Enter through Gate 1 or Gate 2, both directly off TX 27.
- Park in the event center's primary lot in front of the building. Handicapped parking for voters is on the northwest side of the facility.
- Walk in through the main entrance with the glass doors on the northwest end of the building. That leads to the polling location in the Happy State Bank Expo Hall.
- Leave through Gate 3 onto Riverside Drive, at the rear of the campus.
People attending the other events will park on the southeast side and behind the building, and they'll exit through Gate 4, also onto Riverside Drive.
