AMBER Alert Issued For 16-Year-Old Last Seen At Texas A&M–San Antonio

By Mikaela Jade Taylor

SAN ANTONIO — The Texas Department of Public Safety has issued a Local AMBER Alert for Brennan Cervantes, a 16-year-old boy who has not been seen since Wednesday afternoon.

Brennan was last seen at 2:49 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 30, at One University Way in San Antonio, the address of the Texas A&M University–San Antonio campus on the city's South Side. The university's police department is the lead agency on the case.

DPS lists Brennan as a white male, 5 feet 6 inches tall and about 150 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes.

When he was last seen, he was wearing a short-sleeved maroon shirt, black jeans, and white-and-green Nike shoes. He was also carrying a black backpack. DPS released two photos: a school portrait and a surveillance still showing him in the maroon shirt and black jeans.

The alert classifies Brennan as a missing/abducted child. As of Thursday's 11:59 a.m. update, authorities have not released any suspect or vehicle information.

A Local AMBER Alert goes out to a targeted region rather than statewide. Hill Country residents traveling to or from San Antonio are asked to keep watch.

If you see Brennan, call 911 immediately. Anyone with information can also contact the Texas A&M University–San Antonio Police Department at (210) 784-1900.

Kerrville Breaking News will update this story as more information becomes available.
