Fredericksburg Middle School Under Investigation After Reported Bomb Threat

FREDERICKSBURG, Texas — Fredericksburg police are assisting Fredericksburg Middle School and Fredericksburg ISD after a bomb threat was reported at the campus Wednesday.

Officers and school officials are actively investigating, according to a statement from the Fredericksburg Police Department. The department said every threat is taken seriously and that "all necessary measures are being implemented to help ensure the safety of students and staff."

Police are asking parents and community members to stay away from the school and the surrounding area unless directed otherwise, saying reduced traffic lets first responders and school personnel work safely.

FISD and law enforcement said they will continue to update the community as information becomes available.
