Kerr County Sheriff’s Office Arrests Nine in October Narcotics Warrant Roundup

KERR COUNTY, Texas — Nine people are in the Kerr County Jail after a month-long warrant roundup by the Kerr County Sheriff’s Office. The Sheriff’s Office says the arrests close out several narcotics investigations into the suspected sale, distribution and possession of drugs across the county.
The Special Operations Division led the October operation, working with the Patrol and Warrants divisions. Investigators seized 9.5 ounces of cocaine, 1.4 ounces of methamphetamine and 1 gram of ketamine.
Bonds for those arrested range from $20,000 to $200,000.
Who was arrested
Most of the charges are for manufacturing or delivering a Penalty Group 1 controlled substance. Under Texas law, that group includes cocaine and methamphetamine. The weight listed with each charge sets how serious it is: 4 to 200 grams is a first-degree felony, and 1 to 4 grams is a second-degree felony.
Manufacture/delivery of a controlled substance, PG 1, 4 grams or more but less than 200 grams:
Mario Esau Palma Ramirez
Reymundo Arreola Sanchez
Dainel Joseph Hinojosa
Manufacture/delivery of a controlled substance, PG 1, 1 gram or more but less than 4 grams:
Joe David Chavez
Kristin Jean Isham
Eugene Washington Jr.
Andy Gomez Guardiola (three counts)
Possession of a controlled substance, PG 1/1-B, 1 gram or more but less than 4 grams:
Ashlei Diane Gappa
Adam Lewis Shackelford, who was also arrested on a bond forfeiture
“Relentless”
Sheriff Larry Leitha had a message for anyone dealing drugs in the county, and for anyone hoping a warrant will just go away.
“For those that engage in the drug trade in Kerr County – know that our investigators continue to follow up on warrants in every corner of the county. Additional charges await those who ignore their warrants and run or hide from law enforcement,” Leitha said. “Our teams are relentless in their work of bringing bad actors to face the justice system.”
The Sheriff’s Office called the roundup part of its continuing push against narcotics activity in Kerr County.
Charges may be added or modified before trial. All suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
