Man Taken to San Antonio Trauma Center After Early Morning Shooting on West McFarland Street

KERRVILLE, Texas — Kerrville Police are investigating a shooting that happened early Thursday morning on West McFarland Street. The department says there is no danger to the public.

The shooting victim, an adult male, was transported to a trauma center in San Antonio, where he is receiving medical treatment, according to the Kerrville Police Department.

The other party involved in the shooting is cooperating with investigators and is being interviewed, police said.

KPD described the case as an in-progress investigation and said no additional information will be released at this time. The department said it will provide a more detailed statement when it is able.

Police have not released the names of anyone involved, the victim's condition, or what led to the shooting.
